Meet Rob & Julie Small
Rob and Julie Small are a husband and wife team at the heart of The Punk Potter Studio. Together they have built a creative space where the ancient craft of pottery meets a bold, contemporary spirit — right here in Cornwall.
The Potter
Rob Small
Rob is an ex-professional surfer turned potter, who likes to work with materials from the local Cornish environment. He also enjoys showing people how to throw pots and delivers his pottery classes with enthusiasm, knowledge and humour.
Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned artist, Rob’s infectious passion for clay will leave you inspired and wanting more. Every session is filled with stories, laughter, and genuine craft.
The Artist
Julie Small
Julie is a qualified graphic designer who sculpts and hand builds in clay. She also paints and writes, bringing a multi-disciplinary creative sensibility to everything the studio produces.
Her work bridges the gap between fine art and functional craft — each piece a considered expression of form, texture, and the wild Cornish landscape that surrounds them.

We are proudly located in the vibrant new Market Town of Nansledan, Newquay, Cornwall, in a beautifully designed shop front. Our space is conveniently situated next to charming barista coffee shops, where you can enjoy a delightful coffee and cake before your visit. Ample street parking is available for your convenience.
