Pottery Classes in Cornwall
Cornwall Pottery Studio is the perfect place to experience and develop your pottery kills. Our wheel throwing classes take place in out high street studio in beautiful Nansledan, Newquay. This Duchy Of Cornwall development is an ideal location for our light and airy studio and offers a comfortable and informal space for you to enjoy your pottery journeys. Nansledan is a new development on the outskirts of Newquay and apart from Cornwall Pottery Studio there are plenty of other quality services and shops for you to enjoy. The studio is easy to find and access, with plentiful safe parking in the area. We also have private parking for families and those who require some assistance. Our pottery studio is also wheelchair friendly.
• Introductory beginner’s wheel throwing classes, suitable for 12 years plus
• Private Family Friendly classes for you and your closest family and friends
• Up to 6 potters per class
• Every class covers all the essential basics for you to make some great pots or even start your own pottery adventure
• Everything needed provide by Cornwall potter studio: your personal Shimpo pottery wheel, set of specialist throwing tools, potter’s aprons and of course Cornish clay!
We exclusively use Cornish clay from St Agnes, a wonderful characterful clay that is easy to throw with. It’s also used by the prestigious Leach Pottery in so you can be assured it’s quality clay. Our glazes are built from personally selected and collected materials such as Cornish granite and seashells from the local beaches.
We can finish your pots (2 x firings, sanding and glazing) and do so at our processing cost. Please note that this is additional to the class cost.
